Like a scene in science fiction 
where the creature will not die. 
I"ve been using perfect diction, 
even though I"m terrified. 
I see you smiling through me, 
can you find a place to hide? 
I think I might hear someone 
coming out of the corner of my eye. 
I"ve been meaning to look into your eyes. 
I"ve seen them a half a million times. 
How have I not seen they might be strange? 
I"ve been meaning to look behind your smile.

So how have I not noticed that you have fangs? 
I just had the strangest vision: 
The apartment was on fire. 
You were standing in the kitchen, 
and you were covered in cherry pie. 
Well you know I see with my eye drawn back, 
so you can"t tell me that I"m just upset. (?) 
Aww, I think I"m gonna get sick.
